Enabling young people to become capable citizens in the green transition and encouraging their motivation for education
The Enabling Capable Citizens (ECC) programme seeks to empower young people, particularly at-risk youth, to become capable citizens in European societies undergoing the green transition.
By green transition, we understand a systemic transformation towards sustainability across all sectors of society. Among the major challenges facing European societies in adapting to this transition is ensuring that young people are well-educated, critical thinkers and capable of making informed decisions that shape future sustainable societies.
Such an understanding requires us to rethink how we approach the pathways for all young people towards skills, education and jobs. The aim of this programme is not only to foster excellence, but to enable broad participation, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to contribute to and benefit from the green transition
In odd years, we fund projects in Poland, Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary, while in even years, funding is available for projects in France and Italy.
