The Villum Foundation supports technical and scientific research and education, as well as environmental, social, and cultural purposes in Denmark and abroad. We were founded by civil engineer Villum Kann Rasmussen – the inventor of the VELUX window and founder of VKR Holding A/S.
About Villum Foundation
Villum Foundation is a charitable foundation established in 1971 by Villum Kann Rasmussen, the founder of VELUX A/S and VKR Holding A/S. The foundation's distribution funds originate from the profits generated by co-ownership of the VKR Group, as well as revenues from the foundation's investment activities. In 2023, Villum Foundation allocated approximately 1 billion DKK in grants.
