PhD research training program in quantum science and technology

The initiative will support the education and retention of quantum experts in Denmark and advance excellent research in quantum science. The project will build on the momentum from a recently established, highly successful Master in Quantum Information Science by providing an associated PhD programme and networking activities bringing together students in the field across Denmark. The initiative emphasizes that future PhD students can take greater ownership of their research field. Normally, established researchers receive funding to employ PhD students, but here the initiative to apply for funding comes from the young people themselves. This allows them to influence their own education with new ideas.
