The Building Component Award
The award is given to individuals or small groups who have made a special effort to understanding the value and significance of building components, including their practical application in everyday life.
What is the Building Component Award?
The award aims to raise awareness of the value, significance and practical application of building components in everyday life. The special recognition can involve idea development, design, establishment of production facilities, marketing or a combination of these activities.
Building components are defined as sub-components, prefabricated in an industrial process, which subsequently become part of a building. This can include both established and new products. Building components that may be considered must have a significant Danish connection – whether in origin, history, production or in some other way be rooted in Denmark.
The award is presented in collaboration with VELUX FOUNDATION.
Questions can be directed to the coordinator of the award, Ellen Kathrine Hansen, at Eka.ext@villumfonden.dk
The Building Component Award is DKK 100,000.
