Artificial intelligence in fiber-optic communication

The amount of data transmitted over fiber optic cables increases dramatically these years and there is great demand for faster and more energy efficient communication systems. In this project we take the first steps towards artificially intelligent fiber-optic communication. The goal is to create a learning system which automatically can find the fastest and most energy efficient communication protocol.
