DISCOVIR: DISCOvery of anti-VIRal defense mechanisms in bacteria

All living organisms fight viral infections. This project will investigate how bacteria defend against their viruses using laboratory experiments and computational methods. Our findings will have important implications for discovering new molecular biology tools, developing treatments for antibiotic-resistant infections, and advancing our understanding of immunity in humans and other organisms.
