Project description:
The project has contributed to the restoration of more than 27,000 iconic blue glass mosaic tiles that form the façade of the new church building and bell tower, designed by architect Egon Eiermann. The church welcomes 1.3 million visitors each year and is affectionately known by locals as “the lipstick and powder box”. The restoration helps safeguard these distinctive façades and mosaics for the future, ensuring that the ever-changing play of daylight can continue to be experienced within the church interior for generations to come
