Villum Foundation welcomes two new board members
The two new board members replace Anja Boisen and Eva Zeuthen Bentsen, who are both resigning after 10 years, as stipulated in the foundation's trust deed. Additionally, Kristian H. Kann Rasmussen is resigning as observer.
"We are very pleased to welcome two highly capable professionals such as Merete Eldrup and Søren Hartmann Hede, who with their skills and extensive experience will bring great value to Villum Foundation's board. At the same time, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Anja Boisen, Eva Zeuthen Bentsen and Kristian H. Kann Rasmussen for their dedicated and invaluable contributions to the board's work over many years," says Chair Jens Kann-Rasmussen.
Two powerful profiles
Merete Eldrup serves on several boards and is, among other things, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nykredit, the University of Copenhagen and the Egmont Foundation. She has previously been director at JP/Politikens Hus and CEO of TV 2 Denmark for many years. She holds a degree in economics.
"Villum Foundation is one of Denmark's largest non-profit foundations. Its contributions to technical and scientific research and education, as well as culture and climate, are of great societal importance. I am looking very much forward to participating in this work,” says Merete Eldrup.
Søren Hartmann Hede is the CEO of The Finance Administration of the City of Copenhagen.
He is a former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Children and Education and director of the National Agency for Education and Quality and holds a degree in political science.
"Villum Foundation helps promote knowledge, skills and education both domestically and internationally. It is an important and meaningful task, and I look forward to contributing to the future work of the foundation," says Søren Hartmann Hede.
