A strong profile for VILLUM FONDEN's new grant area

VILLUM FONDEN has employed Agi Csonka to spearhead a new grant area focusing on children, young people and natural science.
VILLUM FONDEN has established a new grant area under the headline 'Children, young people and natural science'. The area will focus on increasing children and young people's interest and competence in science and technology.
Agi Csonka has been employed to spearhead the new grant area and will join the foundation on 1 December 2017.
Agi Csonka has specific knowledge on the educational sector and has for many years had significant influence in the field of children and youth in Denmark. She has, among other things, chaired the Danish Council for Children's Learning which advises the Minister for Education and the Minister for Children and Social Affairs on quality development in public childcare and education.
She comes from a position as Managing Director of SFI - The National Center for Social Research (now VIVE) and she is former Executive Director of the Danish Evaluation Institute (EVA). Agi Csonka graduated as cand.phil and holds a PhD in management and organisation from the Department of Political Science, University of Copenhagen.
