Projektbeskrivelse

This project addresses theoretical and empirical questions about the integration of artificial intelligence (AI)-based decision support systems in critical, real-time, physical contexts. We will use case studies from Denmark and the Netherlands to study technology readiness and the organizational journey of ports to adopt AI. Ports serve as an ideal test bed for investigating the stages of technology adoption due to significant differences in digitalization advancement. For ports which are AI frontrunners, we will generate novel insights regarding decision-support systems to augment human-decision making capabilities. For ports with low technology readiness, we will map barriers to digital transformation and identify drivers to increase AI adoption. Committed to interdisciplinary research, SAIL will develop frontier approaches to advance the strategic use of AI in dynamic decision-making contexts.
